A view of remains of the former Schindler factory complex in Brnenec, Czech Republic, 20 March 2019. As media reported, Daniel Low-Beer, a 49-year-old British descendent of the original owners of the factory relinquished to the Nazis in 1938, wants to transform the abandoned factory into a museum. When the Soviet Army advanced to Poland in 1944, German businessman Oskar Schindler relocated his munitions factory from Poland into a small town of Brnenec (formerly Bruennlitz), some 190 km east of Prague, and prevented his Jewish workers from deportation to Nazi concentration camps and so he saved 1,200 Jews in the final months of the Second World War.
